Recently we began to explore three mediums in art class, these being colored pencils, chalk, and oil pastels. Honestly, I adpre all three of these mediums, whith colored pencil being my far favorite. The detail and control one can muster via belending and layers is wonderful.
With chalk, one has to be careful as to distrbute the buildup and layer gently. The chalk often gets all over ones hands and well, everything.
Oil pastels tend to blend almost too much, all over eachoter and everythin they touch, risking stains to clothing and unwanted colors smearing over eachother.
